Recipe of the week: Green Beans Fries

Hi Mama Birds,

Healthy, simple, and tasty is usually my theme when it comes to cooking at our house. The oven has become one of my cooking side kicks to easily and quickly bring nutritious meals to our family table.

Make this kid-friendly green bean fries recipe that is just so delicious that my son started chomping them down before they were ready to be served. I caught him in the act! I think half of them were gone before dinner time y'all! :-)

Ingredients:

  • 2 pound of green bean washed, trimmed, leave them long and pat dry them with paper towel or cloth if wet

  • 1 tablespoon of grape seed oil (feel free to replace with other oil)

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F

  2. Line two baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and toss them several times to distribute the spices equally

  4. Place the mixed ingredients on top of the parchment paper, spread them out evenly, and transfer to the oven

  5. Roast the green beans for 15 mins and stir and roast for 10 mins more

  6. Take it out of the oven when ready and let them cool down a little before serving & enjoy!

xo,

Smriti
